I also notice that Unreal Tourn is not listed....although I still think the original Quake is one of the best shooters I've ever played.....I mean, cmon....it had a patch to let you play in a Vulture!!

Oh this is Bad, how cna I be the only one who loves the Civilization line of Games (Call to Power not included). Each installment, was a huge improvement over the previous one. And the first one rocked, no doubt about it. The replay value of the game is incredible. I can't even begin to count how many hours I've sat playing those games, nor the times and hours I kept on playing saying to myself, just one more turn then I'm going to bed, and it was already 2am or later. There is so much that one can do in that game, the possibilities are really endless. Sure there certain tricks/strategies one learns to employ, but you can never tell what the other civilizations are gonna do or how they are gonna react.

It is no wonder why these games are always so popular. Also I think CIV 3 is by far the best, though I think some of the unit icons are a little cheesy looking by hey no one is perfect, and as faras I am concernedI can deal with a few cheesy unit icons, since the rest of the game is so damn near perfect. I have no idea how they could make it any better.

Its that no one else doesnt love the,...its that some people love others more. Like...I am a huge fan of Civ II...but I wouldnt put it near my top games. There are so many other games I played so much more. I can count 5 games I spent too much time on right now. Civ is great...but not my bag.

Ok, I can almost buy that line of thought.

Also do you realize that your poll doesn't work quite right, it has some games listed as having no votes, but the bar graph is huge.

Lets see, I have the following games with 0 votes as having a big bar graph:

Ultima
Morrowind
Oregon Trail
Warcraft II
Anarchy Online
HOMM 2 or 3
Rise of the Triad

All their graph representation are the biggest, larger than those with 3, 2 or even 1 vote.

I've always liked teh Wing Commander series and the Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale series. I liked Mechwarrior 3 the best out of the series. Mechcommander 1 and 2 were also good.

Yeah, the 'Mechcommander squad games are great. A couple things I don't understand...(Why can only 'Mechs capture buildings and why does it only take one?) but they're pretty good. I hope they do a full RTS for BattleTech, where you can build your own base and what not.

Odd I saw Mech 2 but no mech 3 or Mechcommander. And thank god there is no Mech 4 (worst in the series IMO) I didnt mind diablo but it just has no replay value. That and seeing my friend get killed by someone 30 Lvls higher then him after he said "I dont want to duel" (the guy waited for him to leave the town and then he hit duel and ran out and killed him) really turned me off.

hmmmm....interesting. Stinger, why do you think MW4 is the worst MW game? Only reason I ask is that I was just about to buy it. But if you can give me a good reason not to, I might just stick with MW3.

*blinks* wow....somehow I didn't notice the slew of replies to this after my D2 post. But anyways: no, in fact, I still play the game quite often, racking up at least 15 hours a week. My character got looted because in 1.04 the "corpse loot" option was still enabled, and after Bliz did some server work one after-patch update it had the tendency to be randomly switched on and off without ever sending the user a message.

I can give you some. Although my computer is a bit slow, MW3 ran fine. MW4 gave me nothing but problems trying to shoot and hit targets. Not because of lag, but simply because my shots seemed to magically "miss" at times. Also, I'm not fond of the system they use to build 'Mech variants. Mechwarrior 2 and 3 had much better systems.
