The CCG will be centered around the new Transformers Armada Line instead of G1. However, it does appear that the release date has been possibly delayed. While initial reports had a release date in the fall, it looks as if we may not see it until around Christmas at best.
In addition, there is also listed in a seperate article the air times for the Armada cartoon. Cartoon Network, at least for now, will be airing it instead of Fox, who had been airing the last few versions of Transformers to hit the states starting with Generation 2 in the mid 90's.

Bummer. If it was based on Generation 1, I would almost certainly have bought into it. Just found three DVDs with Generation 1 transformers TV episodes. Each DVD has five episodes. ...I'm a happy guy.

The official Rhino season 1 DVD set is all 16 episodes chronologically on 4 DVDs. I know- I've priced it not to long ago.
