Pretty cool MMORPG. Not really charecter based...you are pretty much in control of a ship and do cool things with it ^^.
If you join the free Beta by tomarrow then you get to be a "founder" should you choose to get the actual game. I played for about an hour today, and I am going to get the game. I might just completely ditch my PS2 now...everything is pale in comaprrison to the PC!!!
BTW...the download for the beta is over a gig....so be warmed. Took me a lil less than 2 hours to get it at 180k a sec.

I'm on there too. It's been pretty fun so far. But I don't know how long I'll stay with it after Star Wars Galaxies comes out and I have a chance to shoot some stormtroopers.

Of course if what you wanted was Privateer online, Earth and Beyond can do that for you.
Of course I don't know how long I'll stay with after Sea Dogs II comes out.

Retail version is out and the servers are kinda uncrowded right now. Not that it matters to me at my level, though. I dont do too much in the way of interaction.
And I must say the skill and leveling system is kinda cool. I saved some ability points up and when I went to go get my cloaking ability I was able to upgrade to advancec cloaking which allows me to move at full speed while cloaked, as well as cloak about 3x faster than normal.
