Since the protomechs were meant to look this way... I think that this would disappear under real circumstances soon after the armies get used to seeing protomechs on field and the psychological effect ...

IMO worst designs ever are Protomechs from TRO:3060. Those look *worse* than stuff from Power Rangers. Roc is probably the only one of them looking at least somewhat acceptably.
