Its was developed and published Lucasarts. I didnt think SOE did anything other than distribute it.
Granted though, SWG was terribly dissapointing. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Howard Wolowitz. BBT.

Well according to everything i've ever seen, heard, or read SOE was the primary developer with Lucas Arts riding side car on it. And the team that worked on it, which again seemed to be an SOE team, was a stubborn headed arrogant bunch that refused to heed or listen to anything the player base had to say in feedback. If it was LA that caused all of this bullheaded revisions then my anger has long been misplaced but like i stated earlier all of my casual reading has said it was SOE (the Verrant team sp?) as main producer. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Could be, I never really paid that much attention to it at the time. I was on IGN and it says Lucas for bot Publisher and Developer /shrug. I though Verrant was purchased and absorbed by SoE after EQ became huge. But I am now trying to dredge up info from 12+ years ago.
Regardless so far DC:U has been fun, there are a few issues with the PS3 version, mostly they NEED to fix voice chat so it works reliably. The character customization is good, just not great. combat is better than I expected, but it does take some time to get used to.
The story is excellent, the way they did it is just beautiful.

Here is the link to the opening trailer and that will lead to some of the game play and character creation movies. Its worth at least checking out.
I guess SoE's plan is to release new content every month with the first major update comming around Feb 22nd or so.
Pretty fun though and will be interesting to see if it has the staying powder on the PS3 that some of the other big MMO's have had.
There have been comparisons to City of Heros, and I would say they are pretty accurate. But I do enjoy it more than CoH. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy".
