Microsquash made Made Mechwarrior IV available for free. However, the download and installation is...well, Mordel doesn't allow profanity, and my oldest is hovering behind me...
Why the dip...py people who made it available didn't put in a setup file is beyond me.
Has anyone successfully installed it? Are they still sane? Would they be willing to help?

Which version of IV is it: plain, Mercenaries, or Vengeance?

I think it's either Mercenaries or Vengeance. I was digging through old emails and found the link to the people hosting it, http://www.mektek.net, only when I went there, it's no longer there. It autodirects you to Heavygear.com. No battletech. Instead they are getting ready to roll out a Heavy Gear online game.
I'll do some more digging and see if I can find a download. I'd like to find one legally, or even find a disk of the game somewhere. The only one I know of, though, is held by a friend, who has no interest in selling.
