The regular hussle and bussle of the Bar and Grill echoed down the streets of the city as Kalo approached the glass door. Pausing a moment, he pulled open the door and enetered. As per usual, he removed his sidearm and dress saber and placed them in a weapons locker.
Approaching the bar, he took a seat and removed his hat. Pulling a packet of bills from his hip pocket, he placed them all on the bar and stood, picking up an empty glass and klinking it with another to get everyone's attention. When the chatter had quieted, he spoke in his usual calm and clear voice.
"Friends, both new and old, the time I have long awaited has come. My promotion to the much coveted rank of Star Colonel has finally come through. Chihawk, the night is on me."
He raised a shot glass of whiskey.
"To my honorable and great Galaxy Commander, a man of skill and stamina, experience and wisdom. May he sit with the great Kerenskys when his time comes, but till then let us drink to his name. To Motown!"

Congratulations on your promotion. May the paperwork associated with such promotions not bury you. May you bring honor and glory to your clan.
Just don't come anywhere near any world that I and my unit have been posted to. I hate exchanging hostile fire with drinking buddies.
