Overview:
The skunkworks of D&K Creation Studios have been known to come up with some rather odd
designs at times, usually as a result of boredom when coming up with far more "conventional"
chassis to create and sell. The Jumino, however, is the result of a passion project on one
particular 'Mech engineer to meld the company's more far out there concepts and ideas with
the more mainstream ideas around 'Mechs and what their weight classes should be composed of,
as well as to keep the price at reasonable levels. After months of ruminations and
wargaming, they are rather proud of the end product and prouder still that it was decided to
give it a production run.
Capabilities:
The engineer's thought processes bid that they create a 65 ton brawler, one that could jump,
and keep up with others in the Battle Line. To do so, it was first decided upon to make the
Jumino a stereotypical "Zombie" 'Mech, that is, a 'Mech that must be cored. To do so, a 260
rated Standard Fusion Engine was placed in the incumbent chassis. To keep costs down while
still saving weight, only endo steel internals were used to offset any of the more
outrageous costs to come later through weaponry. To keep the chassis cool running for the
planned weapon loadout, 14 double heat sinks were picked. While with the proposed weapon
loadout an Alpha Strike would quickly lead to a toasty pilot, with proper trigger discipline
they keep the 'Mech running cool.
The 'Mech's main weaponry are a combination of a Streak SRM 6 mounted in the Right Torso
with a single ton of CASE protected ammunition, and a Left Torso, turret mounted Snub-Nose
PPC with capacitor attached.
To further compliment the primary weapon systems, two Medium Pulse Lasers were mounted on
the right arm, a Small Pulse Laser was mounted into the head, and an Extended Range Small
laser was added to the turret mounted in the left torso.
As always, the company standard Laser Anti-Missile system was mounted in the center torso.
To spice things up for this Chassis, however, four heavy class Jump jets were included in
the chassis, two in each leg. This would allow the Jumino to jump up to 120 meters and let
it reposition itself as needed.
