I have always like this mech for its looks and weapons load.
the only thing that keeps it from being a 5 is that is comes from Capellan space. |

I love shadowhawks, but have to agree with alot of posts here. very light armor and to much ammo. I still think replacing the AC with either a PPC or a ER large laser would be a great move here. This allows you go with more armor. the other move I would make is to drop 2 standard HS and upgrade the remaning to doubles. Andy remaning tonnage could go to increasing the jump. |

Man so close to being above average. Again drop the Ultra for a PPC or Laser. Downgrade the LRM 20 to a 15. Beef up the armor add more lrm ammo and give it a second med. What ever is left give to armor and hs. |

Love the Clint. This is a good upgrade to a very good machine. My only complaint is the pulse and lack of armor. Drop the Pulse to standard and pack on 2 tons of armor. |

Ok seeing some of the replys to this mech make me wonder how much attention people actually pay to the fluff. The OST is a pure scout and reconnance mech. It has abilities that NO OTHER MECH HAS IN THE GAME IN 3025. The ability to MAP the surrounding area and find everything in that area, is AMAZING if you use itin the capacity that it is ment to be PURE SCOUTING. Now I know that is a hard concept for people to accept (the PURE SCOUT/NON FIGHTER unit) but in a role playing game this mech shines, and shines like no other.
I think as a role playing tool it is amazing and easily earnes a 5 star rating.
Now in a table top game that is mech only yeah its not great its underarmored but fast. And not something you would put in your forces.

My favorite of the 55 ton weight class. Has by far the best looks but this variane is horrible. As much as I like the AC5 I have to say drop it and the lrm for a ppc or Large laser and armor. Drop the SRM's for 1 SRM 4 launcher and a ton of ammo. Any extra tonnage give over to upping the JJ. |

This is an improvement on the 2D. But still needs some modifications. Drop the lrm 5 and AC 5 and get a real weapon. A PPC would fit in nicely, that or a Large laser. adding 2 JJ and a few heatsinks will help the design as well.

Drop the RL's and give it somesor of electronics. Or better yet increase its movement so it can do what it is supposed to do.
