BattleMech: Atlas-OAF
Rating: 3.50
Comment: Nice upgrade. Doesn't quite have that Atlas feel to it but it can still dish out the punishment while taking a beating. A good variety of weapons meshed with very thick armor make this a fun ride. Not too sure about the ammo quantities, but hey, if you're not playing campaigns then you shouldn't have a problem. Runs a little hot but that can be managed easily.

BattleMech: Jenner IIC 4c
Rating: 2.50
Comment: I'm kinda at a crossroads here.

This mech has a lot of firepower. It can lay waste to almost anything lighter than it. However as it's armor is thinner now, it can get owned by mechs lighter than it as well. It's very speedy and jumps far. Hopefully that will help keep this alive. It would make a good scout hunter/fast strike mech.

BattleMech: Sprite Spr-X
Rating: 3.50
Comment: Nice story! I love the speed on this freak!! Armor is about average for it's size and the firepower is above average for it's size. Interesting heatsink total, but hey, it's experimental!! I'm not a big fan of MASC systems but they serve their purposes. All-in-all, I'd pilot this thing. Call me Seraph Yeager, test pilot.

BattleMech: Dark Helmet DH-L
Rating: 3.00
Comment: LOL!! Nice fluff twist. I enjoyed reading that one.

As for the mech, I like what you've done to the UrbanMech. You've increased it's speed and firepower. It runs much hotter now, but you've no ammo to worry about. The armor was also increased, though you over maxed it. Shoulda left it at 6.5 tons and gave yourself 0.5 tons to add something else, small laser perhaps? Overall I feel this can become a useful replacement for the venerable and somewhat cultish UrbanMech.

BattleMech: Pferdman PFB-1K
Rating: 2.00
Comment: Intersting design. I liked the fluff. It has a niche and fits it well. Cheap, mobile artillery support mech. It needs another design or two to guard it though, with the weak armor, slow speed, and laughable defense weapon, this needs it. Hopefully your enemy doesn't find where these are, they'd send some really fast strikers to make them stop shooting. Do they look like Panthers? If so, perhaps leave a regualr Panther with 3 of these and when an opponent comes thinking easy kills you can surprise them. But just hope one of these doesn't find itself astray or it may be lost.

BattleMech: Quiver QUV - 1A
Rating: 3.00
Comment: I like this mech, a fast fire support mech. It's like a mini-Trebuchet that goes faster. Thick armor and high speeds will help this mech last while it's 16 shots with it's LRM-15 will last for most small combats. The trio of medium lasers are a solid pack up punch.

BattleMech: SLUG SLG-01
Rating: 0.50
Comment: UGH! That about sums it up. It may be just worthy enough to stand outside the shop for others to walk by and say, "Ugh!"
Important note: If you cannot outrunn an UrbanMech, and you cannot outgun a Savannah Master, then perhaps you should be dismantled. With only 5 shots with your main, and only weapon, you will die a slow agonizing death. Only slow because of your armor thickness. Reduce armor for more weapons and more ammo, perhaps drop the AMS's.
I try to be fair to designs I review but some are beyond rational thought it seems.

BattleMech: Butcher BT-1
Rating: 3.50
Comment: Now I like this Butcher! Two distinctive weapons grroups, thick armor hide, and good heat dissappation. While you can easily melt this one down, it is also easy to moderate your fire. A bit slow for my tastes, it makes up for it in endurance.

BattleMech: Mördertier MTE-2A
Rating: 4.00
Comment: I like this upgrade. While the overall firepower has been reduced and the higher reliance on ammo tends to make something weaker, the type of weapon added along with the quantity of ammo offset this. Also the heat produced has fallen dramatically, enabling continuous fire of all weapons.

BattleMech: Dark Locust D-LCT-1A
Rating: 1.00
Comment: Sorry but this is horrid. As it's based on a Locust it is almost lethargic. The speed is bad, 4/6/4 would be better than this and still good for urban warfare. I agrree with the previous reviewer about the XL engine, completely unneeded. Drop the 2 RL's and up the paired ER smalls to ER mediums and upgrade to double heatsinks. Take those 3 tons and upgrade your engine and jumpjets. Perhaps to 5/8/5? But with a top speed of 50 kph it hardly qualifies as a "quick response unit", even in a city.

Nice concept, thought was put into it, just poorly executed. Perhaps if you took an UrbanMech's chassis for your base? Or a Wasp or Stinger as those two have pre-existing JJ's.
