Granted I'm biased: I like the Victor.
The gauss rifle is a definite improvement over the AC/20 in open field manuevers plus it's smaller, cooler, and gets more shots per ton(always a plus). However, it's purpose of being a heavy mobile urban assault machine is reduced by the gauss rifle. The long range and minimum range poses a possible problem in close quarters fighting inherent in some cities. The pulse lasers and it's great mobility are a definite plus in urban centers but the SRM4 should be swapped out for one or two Streak systems. That way you can cut down on colateral damage in a city you are defending.
All in all it's good design that was made more versatile by the main weapon upgrade. |
