Great Timber Wolf configuration for light recon stars. When used in recon stars, it makes a great command 'Mech, especially when BV comes into play.
Best type of recon Star to employ this configuration in is to use a single Heavy 'Mech (the Timby B), a pair of medium 'Mechs (your choice), and a pair of light 'Mechs (again, your choice). |

Albatross ALB-3U |

The Albatross is a good solid 'Mech waiting to come off the drawing board. It needs more armor (curable by adding endo-steel) and could use an additional "free" double-heat sink.
I once posted an upgraded ALB-4V Albatross to the design submissions board on Classic BattleTech's forums. Too bad the boards got purged before I could save a copy of it. It had 265 points of armor, 15 DHS, and the same weapons payload. |
