Overview:
    The Skulker was the much larger cousin of the Swift Wind scout car and was originally based
    on the Heavy APC design.  Due to it being larger than any scout car, it was able to act as a
    mobile communication outpost and perform missions otherwise impossible.  However, the
    recovery of Star League technologies and the Clan invasion found the Skulker quickly out
    performed by younger and more advanced units.
    
    Non-the-less, the Skulker's base frame has proven both rugged and capable.  It was for this
    reason that the Skulker was selected for the Mechanized Cavalry Initiative.  However, unlike
    most of the other units selected, the Skulker was selected to specially serve as a mount for
    mechanized scout infantry squads.
    
    The designers took the opportunity to incorporate several pieces of recovered Star League
    technology, such as a combat rated fuel cell engine and cellular ammunition storage
    equipment.  Using recovered mass from the upgraded engine, the designers upgraded the hard
    mounted axial weapon mount into a turret capable of supporting up to 5 tons of equipment.
    These upgrades also provides the Skulker Omni with 6 tons of pod space.
