Overview:
The Hardshot 1DC was designed by the Lyrans and produced by TharHes Industries in 2757 to
fulfill dual roles as a heavy scout (much like how they would deploy the 100-ton Atlas in
the coming Succession Wars) and a command tank, though in practice it was a juggernaut just
like the HDS-1Cs it commonly commanded. Armed with a main cannon capable of seriously
wounding anything that dared stand before it, as well as highly advanced electronics, it was
more than suited for all three tasks.
While the ability to produce the design would cease with several components becoming
LosTech, the tanks themselves were able to stay alive until the Helm Memory Core brought
back the technology needed to make more units. However, a major reason for this is
commanders that were not fiercely loyal to the DC would have them pawned off to TharHes for
refitting into the derived 1S.
Capabilities:
To absoluetly deter any enemy forces from daring to attack this command tank, a gargantuan
Defiance 'Mech Hunter Autocannon/20 was installed as the main gun with 4 tons of ammunition.
This however created a weakness in that its ammunition stores alone could easily blow up the
entire tank, without even factoring in the machine gun from the 1C plus one more that each
used a one-ton ammo drum. Four Diverse Optic Small Lasers are installed frontward as
emergency weapons, and a fifth is installed as minor rear defense.
Its electronics suite consists of 4 tons of command & control equipment, a Beagle Active
Probe, and a Guardian ECM Suite.
DESIGN QUIRKS: Narrow/Low Profile, Fast Reload (Machine Gun), Slow Traverse

capability.
