Overview:
    The Chameleon C is a sort of oddity in that it is one of the most desired, unnecessary mechs
    a available. It’s role as a ‘trainer’ does not require any upgrades as it does its
    role admirably enough and yet the CLN-C has been thoroughly upgraded with Clantech making it
    effective and capable in a multitude of situations as a jack-of-all-trades, though truly a
    master of none.
    
    Thus the mech has also earned a somewhat contradictory reputation as undesired by warriors
    but a joy to pilot and use.

Capabilities:
    An LB autocannon was added as the main weapon to be both effective and teach new pilots how
    to use and appreciate different munitions. The large laser is retained as an effective
    secondary weapon that also facilitates the training of future snipers/marksman. A medium
    pulse laser and streak srm launcher allows mechwarriors to appreciate and take advantage of
    increased accuracy and get comfortable with missile locks while not wasting any ammunition.
    And twin light machine guns retain the mechs ability to train its users in anti-infantry
    use.
    
    What truly adds in its training role and versatility is the addition of a Light TAG for
    support operations and a Light Active Probe for limited recon training.
    
    Maximum protection was added to insure the trainees every opportunity to return home while
    double heat sinks take care of the majority of its equipment use though still facilitates
    heat management; a necessary skill for all mechwarriors

Deployment:
    Due to its unique niche in not having a niche, the ‘Chameleon C’ is custom built by its
    designers in the ‘Academic Mercenary Tech’ school or AMT. Each mech is built from the
    ground up by the technicians in the partial factory that makes up part of the school grounds
    with at least three of them always on site and two lances serving in the mercenary cadre.
    
    At least one is made for/by and used to represent a graduating class with extras gifted to
    special alumni who join elite units or families, further increasing the school’s prestige.
