Hi everybody,
I'm trying to add some new configs for stock Omnimechs, but when I check the Omni box, it seems to want to make the 'Mech into a new base config. How do I take an existing BASE config, like, say, this Stormcrow...
mordel.net/tro.php?a=vtbm&id=2479&fltr=cp.0~qf.000.Name%2FModel~Contains~ryoken
...and submit a new config for it without my new one being labeled "BASE"?

Hi NavPoint, and welcome to the site. There are a few ways to accomplish this, but I'll highlight two of them:
1) If it's a BASE config you created yourself, there will be a Create Variant button at the bottom after it's been saved for the first time, or when you open it to edit again
2) If it's a BASE someone else created (another user, canon design, etc), you do it as follows:
- Click the Load button at the bottom on the screen.
- In the Unit Name box search for the BASE config you want to create a variant of, select it, and then click the Load button.
- In the next prompt you'll be asked if you want to create your own BASE config or an Alternate config; select 'Create Alternate Configuration' and press Load one last time.
That's it. You now have the BASE variant of the unit loaded and ready for altering as you see fit. Any restrictions will be enforced while designing (e.g., can't reduce heat sinks, fixed equipment, etc).
